Summer of IP 2024: introductory events

A summary of the introductory events provided for our Summer of IP 2024 programme.

They’ll give you an introduction to intellectual property (IP) and the careers available here. Some also provide information on specific roles such as patent or trade mark attorney, IP solicitor or barrister, IP paralegal or public sector IP professional. Some will allow you to speak directly to existing IP professionals, or give you guidance on the job application process. Plus there are events tailored for students in particular STEM disciplines.

We’ll provide links to all the recordings, as well as to associated resources such as speaker slides.

Summer of IP 2024: employer opportunities

1 Jul 2024

Opportunities such as taster days and work experience placements with IP sector employers, provided as part of our Summer of IP 2024 programme.

Please also join our introductory events (see here) for an explanation of Summer of IP and how the programme works. They’ll give you an overview of intellectual property (IP) and the careers available here. You’ll then be able to attend other events and activities relating to the types of career you’re particularly interested in.
