Introduction to IP – Online Workshop

What?

Join Venner Shipley online for this 90 minute practical workshop where you’ll learn about the 4 main types of IP (Patents, Trade Marks, Designs, Copyright) and what kind of product each type of IP is used to protect. Then in smaller groups facilitated by an attorney, you will think about one well-known product and try to identify the different types of IP found in that product. Finally, the groups will come back together and briefly share with each other on the different types of IP they found in their product.

Who?

Ideally over 18s, with an interest in or studying a STEM degree (patents) or law/languages degree (trade marks and litigation).

How to sign-up / apply

Please apply to [email protected] advising that you are applying for the Summer of IP webinar.

Please include:

• the date you wish to attend (6th August or 11th August)
• a short summary of why you want to attend
• ideally, please include your CV with applications.

Deadline: 2 days before each event

20 places available per session.

Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
