IP Taster Day for Prospective Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys

What?

Join Forresters IP in Birmingham for an informative and practical day where you’ll be immersed in the life of an IP professional. You’ll gain first-hand insights into careers in intellectual property, meet a number of IP professionals, including Forresters attorneys, and have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about working in IP.

Sessions will include:

* Overview of careers in IP
* Interview and CV skills workshop
* Interactive patent / trade mark skills session
* Networking with patent and trade mark attorneys

Who?

Students interested in becoming a patent or trade mark attorney who are currently at university or graduates who have completed undergraduate degree.

Prospective Patent Attorneys: should be studying (or have already completed) a STEM undergraduate degree.

Prospective Trade Mark Attorneys: should be studying (or have already completed) an undergraduate degree (in any subject).

How to sign-up / apply

Complete the Registration form by the deadline of 17th August 2026.

12 places available in person – 6 places for prospective Patent Attorneys and 6 places for prospective Trade Mark Attorneys.

Other info

Travel costs will be reimbursed, up to £30 per participant, upon production of a valid receipt.

Relaxed dress code.
