IP Taster Day
What?
Join Venner Shipley in Guildford for an IP Taster Day where attendees will learn about the different types of IP and what it’s like to be a trainee, gain practical experience and have the opportunity to talk to IP professionals. The day will include:
- an introduction from HR.
- a brief tour of the office.
- a talk about the various types of IP and how to apply for a patent and trade mark.
- a talk on the trainee experience, given by current trainees (part-qualified) or recently qualified associates.
- a drafting and response exercise.
- a discussion on applying to the industry.
- a final comments and questions session so the attendees can ask any other questions that they have – although each speaker is happy to take questions throughout the day too.
Who?
Ideally over 18s, with an interest in or studying a STEM degree (patents) or law/languages degree (trade marks and litigation).
How to sign-up / apply
Please apply to [email protected] advising that you are applying for the Summer of IP taster day. Please include which office location you wish to attend and a short summary of why you want to attend. Ideally, please also include your CV with applications.
