DESCRIPTION:What?\nJoin Venner Shipley in Guildford for an IP Taster Day where attendees will learn about the different types of IP and what it’s like to be a trainee, gain practical experience and have the opportunity to talk to IP professionals. The day will include:\n\nan introduction from HR.\na brief tour of the office.\na talk about the various types of IP and how to apply for a patent and trade mark.\na talk on the trainee experience, given by current trainees (part-qualified) or recently qualified associates.\na drafting and response exercise.\na discussion on applying to the industry.\na final comments and questions session so the attendees can ask any other questions that they have – although each speaker is happy to take questions throughout the day too.\n\n \nWho?\nIdeally over 18s, with an interest in or studying a STEM degree (patents) or law/languages degree (trade marks and litigation).\n \nHow to sign-up / apply\nPlease apply to _HR@vennershipley.co.uk advising that you are applying for the Summer of IP taster day. Please include which office location you wish to attend and a short summary of why you want to attend.
